Oktoberfest is one of my favorite traditions as a family. Snowbird is beautiful that time of year with fall just starting to knock on the door and the warm weather of summer still slightly lingering. I love to eat a little sauerkraut and do the chicken dance with my kids. Snowbird chocolate torte is worth the drive as well.
We have gone long enough that we recognize the old timers that wear their lederhosen and dirndls. We always to go on Labor Day. This year we first headed to Seven Peaks to get in one more day at the waterpark. We came home around noon, quickly changed and headed up to Snowbird.
My parents gave the egg dance a go and did pretty well.
I even got to dance with my sweetie as well.
Even Joshua got into the dancing.
Hannah did not want to go. She went with the attitude of a typical teenager, but she had a great time, although she didn't want to admit it. You just can't help having fun when you are doing the Chicken Dance.
The chicken dance. I still remember my Grandma Gunther getting out there to do the chicken dance with us we never could get my Grandpa. But my dad is a good sport and makes sure he dances with all the girls.
Oktoberfest 2012!
