Labor Day weekend my sister-in-laws family invited us up to their cabin at Bear Lake. I had only been to Bear Lake once before and that was when Hannah was a baby. It was a quick trip, we left Friday after school and came home Saturday night. When we woke up Saturday morning we were afraid we were going to get rained out. It had rained all night and was still overcast and cold Saturday. We started to make other plans for the day, but slowly the sun came out and it ended up being a nice day. A little chilly, but nice enough to be at the beach. The kids had a great time playing in the sand, catching lizards, riding wave runners, and paddling kayaks. Again, I have decided that beach vacations are the easiest thing to do with kids of all different ages. They are so easily entertained.
I was entertained by the fact that everyone pulls their boats out to the lake with their tractors.
The light was beautiful.
Later in the day the storm rolled back in, but we can't complain we had several hours of nice weather.
As we drove home, we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets. It looked like the sky was on fire.
Then it turned dark and stormy and the rain followed us all the way back home.
