The Subway

I can't finish our New York posts without talking about the subway.  It is a great way to get around, cheap and convenient.  With 8 of us, taking two taxi's would have been too expensive, but with those two boys it was a real pain.  They had no qualms about putting their face and mouth up against the windows or laying down on the seats or even floor.  John and I would just cringe as we would try and get them not to rub their whole bodies against the germy surfaces.

At one point Joshua started climbing the polls in the subway.  Some of the people on our subway cart started cheering him on. (Big mistake)  After that every time we got on the subway he wanted to shimmy up the poll.  Another fun game they liked to play was to try and stand without holding on to the polls and then try not to go flying when the subway stopped or started.  Yes, the people on the subway loved us.

If only he would have slept like this every time we got on the subway.
