After our full day of sightseeing we headed directly to Yankee Stadium. Now you either love the Yankee's or you hate them, and once you decide there is no changing sides. We are Yankee lovers here at the Howard home. You can't live in New York and not become a Yankee fan. We have been to several games at the old stadium, but this was our first time visiting the new stadium.
I love this view with all the buildings behind it.
We got their early and of course didn't leave till the end.
All the kids wore their Yankees paraphernalia.
Caroline showing off the front and back of her hat.
Hannah showing off her new Jeter shirt. We do love Jeter.
The kids were pretty good to watch some of the game, but by the end they had lost all interest, but I think they still loved the experience of being at the game. They were really good, except when Joshua and Benjamin started going at it and the drunk guys behind us started calling a play by play of the take down. It ended with Joshua being bit. Don't mess with a two year old who's not afraid to use his teeth. It was a little funny, but not for Josh.
The kids like to collect discarded cups at the end of the game, here they are with their loot.
One last family picture in Yankee Stadium and then we were on our way to fight the crowds in the subway. We had done this before so we knew what to expect, pure mayhem. I was worried about loosing a child in the crazy subway crowds. Luckily the stroller helped us cut through some of the bottle neck and we were able to use the handicap access, the rest of the family squeezed in behind me and we made it home with all five kids it tow.
