Christmas Day

Twas the night before Christmas...

and all through the house, not a creature was stirring,

not even a mouse.

The kids had to wait on the stairs while we made final preparations. Joshua was oblivious to the excitement and hopeful anticipation, but not the girls.

Anne Marie slept over and my parents and Scott came over first thing. They are used to having us at their home on Christmas morning so I think they were afraid on missing out on all of the fun.

Santa brought our family one big gift, an air hockey table. We hope this will bring years of family fun. We are not quite sure how he fit it in his sleigh, but we are sure glad that he did.

Hannah was supper pleased with her American Doll Girl. I asked the girls if they would rather have an American Doll girl or an Our Generation Doll, (at a fraction of the price) and get money to buy clothes for their doll. Hannah opted for the American Doll, while Grace and Caroline wanted the Our Generation Doll with the extra money.

Joshua was happy with his truck and tape measure. He is such a boy, I didn't realize at what an early age they had their gender preferences.

Caroline with her Our Generation Doll, hmmm... looks an awful lot like the A.D.G.

Grace showing off the hat that Anne Marie knitted for her.

Anne Marie always gives nice gifts and according to her every year someone is the recipient of one extra nice gift. This year John was the recipient of that gift. She gave him 4 tickets to the Jazz game, but these tickets are not the cheap nose bleed tickets that we usually treat ourselves to, no these are VIP tickets on the second row which include dinner and parking. The price on the ticket is almost $600.
No she did not spend that much they are courtesy of her work, but she is always very generous and likes to share her perks.

Jack would be so jealous of the air hockey table. If we had a basement I'd be all for it but can't stomache the clanking noise in my house! Looks like a blast though.
