When we lived in Arizona the day after Thanksgiving my Aunt Mirium would have everyone over to her house to decorate gingerbread houses. The first year we made the gingerbread from scratch and cut it out. The following years we bought the kits for $10 and added our own candy. We had so much fun we decided to keep it as a tradition. So this year we invited my cousins Joe, Celinda and their family over, along with my family to decorate gingerbread houses. It is definately crazy and makes a huge mess, but it is a fun way to start the holidays off.

My dad always intense, helping with a gingerbread house.

Grace showing off her graham cracker house.

Joe's kids.

These two had a great time eating candy. Don't they look a little guilty.

Tal and Jackson's house. They won, I am not sure what they won, but according to them they won. These two are a little on the competitive side. :)

I'll be there on Sunday... can't some of the fun wait?
Yum--that makes me want to go out and buy candy and then of course, eat it!
