Grace's Dance Recital

I am not a good dance mom. I was never a dancer and I don't really promote it in my family of girls. All of the costumes, make-up, money, performances, etc. is just too much for me. The girls took dance in Arizona from a friend who did it out of her home and that was just my speed, easy, cheap and convenient.
Well, Grace is taking dance here in Utah and for Christmas they were doing The Nutcracker. Luckily, she is little so her part and commitment were very small, only one extra practice and $50 for a costume. I was quite stressed out because my friend Aubrey would usually do the girls hair for me when there was some type of performance, but now I was on my own. Well, I must say it was darling. The performance was very professional, not too long and the little girls were darling! Grace's hair turned out good and she had fun. I am still not a dance mom, but we survived and had a good time. Here are some pictures from her special night.

She is such a ham.

John also bought her flowers, which Hannah reminded him to do. Grace was so excited. That night she told me "Mom, everyone is going to think the flowers are yours, but they are really mine." I love that girl.
