Friends

One of my favorite things about living at the crossroads for anyone that is LDS is that we get to regularly see friends that we have known from all over the United States.  This summer I got to see a good friend and former roommate from my days at BYU.  We hadn't seen each other in at least a decade and it was so fun to catch up with her.

I also got to see my dear friend Collette.  I love her because she is a true and sincere friend with lots of energy.  What you see is what you get with Collette.

She also has a darling daughter who happens to be one of Hannah's good friends.

While we were gone, (I can't remember where) our dear friends the Dennisons stopped by to pick up some skis.  The girls were home and got to visit with them.  They have three darling girls.  They took Hannah and Caroline in the middle of the night when I went to the hospital to have Grace.  We had only lived there a couple of months.  Now you know they will be good friends for life when they do something like that for you.

In addition to these friends we also got to see the Steele's Arne's, Gustafson's, Stukis, Christensen's, and the Haddocks.  I truly feel blessed to have such good friends that always make the effort to stay in touch.

Our married life together has spanned five states.  Although, for the time being, we are settled, I know more wonderful friends will enter our life and I hope that we continue the close friendships from our past.  They represent a time period in our life.  They played important rolls and helped when we need a helping hand or a listening ear.  I am always gratefully for good friends and I pray always for good friends for my children, because they can make a huge difference.  So to all my friends and children's friends out there, THANK YOU.

I just spent the last 20 minutes catching up on your blog and I'm wiping away the tears. Happy ones of course. Where does the time go? Your family is beautiful and you are quite the photog! Charisse, Collette and I were talking the other day about getting together somehow, someway. We didn't make it to Utah this summer (so much going on) but we are coming for our Fall Break. I'll be in touch for sure.

I too love "visiting" with your growing family through your blog. It is wonderful how you value family and friends and I know you made some special ones while in CT. Thanks for letting me watch your family grow up.
