Cabin Fun

To continue to chip away at our summer fun, I'll write about going to the cabin.  I love the cabin.  I love the beauty and the old, durable furniture.  I love that is close and we can go up for the evening.  We rarely stay 24 hours and I don't think I have ever stayed more than 24 hours at one time.  That is just how it was growing up, we didn't even stay overnight, except for a couple of times that I can remember.

This year I went up a little earlier on a Friday afternoon and John came up later to join us.  We also took the 4-wheeler up for a little more fun.  Anne Marie also joined us via her bike of course.

We had a good time and in true Gunther fashion (all work, little play), my parents, uncle, and cousin-in-law showed up in the morning for a work day at the cabin.  The cabin association has an owners work day once a year to take care of anything that needs attention.  We didn't realize work day was that weekend, so we also got up and helped a little.  There wasn't much to do and many hands make light work, so we were done within the hour.

Here are pictures from our weekend.

I don't remember what or who they were laughing at, but I love the sequence of pictures.  They just seem to oozy joy and childhood contentment.

We had a good time and love adding family memories to our life.
