I am slowly trying to chip away at all of the pictures I have on my computer that need to be documented. If I don't recored the memories with the pictures they are lost. I have a terrible memory. Just a couple of weeks ago my cousins in AZ told me about a family video they were watching that I was in. I was a teenager and we were up at our cabin. I have NO recollection of the event. Not even it sounds familiar. I am sad that I don't remember things better. But I guess one day all things will be brought to my remembrance. Anyways....
Day three of San Diego we went to the zoo in the morning. That place is expensive. I think it was something like $40 for an adult, and let me tell you, it is JUST a zoo. In my book it was nothing special or out of the ordinary. We had our trusty Go San Diego Passes so they were included in the pass which was great because I would never have paid $40 a person.
Our next stop that day was to the Science Center. We spent about three hours there although I didn't take any pictures. We then headed out to the beach. The Go Pass included either a bike rental or kayak rental. We had decided to do the kayak since it was something different. We had 8 adults and 9 children under the age of 12. Luckily the nice guys at the rental place talked us out of kayaking. It was a cool, overcast day and it easily could have turned into a disaster. In fact we opted for the bike rentals and it still was a disaster.
These were some of the 'happy' pictures.
These were some of the 'unhappy' pictures. Can you imagine if we would have gone out on the kayaks. Yikes, we were already cold, tired, wet, tired, sandy, tired.
So after a short bike ride we returned the bikes went home and the girls went out to dinner for Anne's birthday while the dads dealt with the kids. It was a fun day, but it is easy to forget that you can only do so much with kids in tow before the melts downs start.
