End of School Activities

Man alive, school started today and I am posting pictures from the end of school.  That is how I fast I felt the summer went.  This was the most fun summer and I have a bunch of stuff to write about, but first I need to talk about the end of the school year.

The Dance Festival was the first item on the week long celebration.  Each grade learns their own dance which they go out and show their moves off for.

This cute girl not only danced her heart out, but also got to show off her awesome tumbling skills, but she was too fast  and I didn't get a picture of her doing  back handsprings down the front.

I love how serious Grace takes things when she is working hard at somethings.

Hannah and the 6th graders tore it up with all their energy and excitement about being the big men on campus.

The Sixth Grade Graduation came next.  They had a slide show for the kids, some awards and then Hannah's mom's friend who is the owner and editor of Utah Valley Magazine spoke to the kids.  She did a great job talking to them about going into 7th grade, having a positive attitude, smiling, making new friends, working hard, loving their school, and other great advice for a 7th grader.  She used lots of  examples from her interviews for the magazine.

Hannah loved her teacher Mrs. Hamilton.  She was also my mom's cousin so we felt lucky to get her.  She was awesome.

Finally came the 6th Grade Celebration which Hannah told me was the best day of  her life.  I know she will have many more great days, but it is fun to see them so excited about something and growing up.  Don't have any pics from that event but I know they had a blast with a dunk tank, food, music, and lots of hanging out

On the last day of school I took pictures.  It was fun to see each of their reactions to the last day.  I will let the pictures tell the story.

I remember graduation certificates being a big deal.  Her award is for having a good attitude and that is true.  Love your brown eyes Gracie.
She is such a character.  She will give us a run for our money.  Actually all of them will I am afraid.  Seriously where did this rocker attitude come from.
 Grace and Josh celebrating.
A tender moment with her picture of her teacher.  She wanted me to take a picture of her picture.  She really had a great teacher that cared about her.  So grateful!  Actually all of the teachers were so great this year.  I wish we could move on with them, but we will just hope for another great year.

Caroline came home less excited about school being over.  She loved her teacher, and so did I.  She was fabulous!
Caroline is showing off her picture she took with her teacher in their twiner outfits.

Hannah and her friends rolled in an hour or so after school was out.  They had to hang out and visit.  Wow the end of an era for Hannah.  I remember when she started kindergarten at Carol Rae elementary.  She was there one year before they built Highland Park, where she went until 3rd grade when we moved.

It really was a wonderful year for all of them.  I am so grateful for good teachers.  Our teachers this year gave them such confidence as well as really looked out for their needs.
