San Diego- Day 4

Our last day in San Diego we went to the Mormon Battalion and then to the beach.  The entire vacation was cool and overcast.  In fact it was warmer at home than it was in San Diego that week.  But kids don't mind one bit.  So after visiting the Mormon Battalion, which I highly recommend,  it is free and the kids had a good time as well as the adults, we went to seal beach.  It is a place where all the sea lions beach.  There were 100's of them.  We found a little part of the beach where none of the sea lions were sunning (if you can call it that, the sun was not out).  We let the kids play in the water as much as they wanted.

Not a great picture of either John or I, but we have so few pictures of us on vacation I had to include it.

The pure joy of sand and water.  The beach is such a soothing place to be although clean up is a real pain.

Joshua's jeans would not stay up after they got wet.  Grace is such a good little mother.  She was so concerned about his modesty although we wasn't the least concerned.  She kept carrying him up to me to help pull up his pants.  She got very frustrated at both me and Josh for not being more on top of things.
So the next day we headed home.  I woke up sick and had a terrible trip home.  Let's just say I kept a barf bag handy during the drive home.  I was glad that it didn't hit till we were on our way home.
