I could never be a regular blogger, I don't know how people post everyday. I am finally getting back to our vacation. Can't even remember where I left off, I am sure you have all been on pins and needles to see what we did after we finally arrived.
Our first day in North Carolina we went to Wrightsville Beach. It was a beautiful day. Although I do love sight-seeing, it was perfect spending time at the beach with the family. The beach is great for kids.
We spent hours building sandcastles and burying each other in the sand.
First Grace got buried.
Then Joshua wanted to be buried.
Finally Benjamin was ready to give it a try. He was less buried and more piled upon, but he loved it. I love his smile in this picture, sheer joy.
The girls and Joshua spent hours buggy boarding. The water in North Carolina this time of year is perfect. The water is warm and the waves are big enough to have fun in but not too big to be dangerous.
I love these boys, they crack me up. They crack me up because they are so different than girls and also because Benjamin does anything that Joshua does. He looks to Joshua to see how he is doing something and then tries to do the same thing.
Here is John trying to imitate Benjamin, it was a long day in the sun and Benjamin was starting to feel it. Not so happy to smile for the camera anymore.
Hannah and Caroline with their friend they met at the beach. These girls love to make new friends wherever they go.
Of course any adventure is not properly documented if it is not on Instagram. Here Hannah is posing for the perfect picture to post on her Instagram.
This is how we felt about our day at the beach in N.C. Look at those beautiful blue skies and lovely little beach houses. Unfortunately not everyday was that beautiful at the beach, but the first day was perfect.

I am soooo behind on your blog!!! I'm actually really behind on everything I feel like! Love that you got away to both NY and the beach! I'll have to read on to see how NY was. Did you visit downtown and see anyone? We need to catch up. Call when you have a moment. The time difference makes things a bit tricky but let's try!!! xo
