Summer Days

Some days it is hard having a house full of little people, that always need your help.  But I also want to remember the fun things.  Joshua is outside running through the sprinklers.  I was trying to find the right system number that he wanted turned on, "the big ones" he said.  When they finally turned on he laughed with delight.  The simple things that make them happy and their eyes dance with delight.  Summer is good.

Started this post months ago.  Never got to it.  I can tell it was early in the summer because I can tell from reading it that I was still enjoying having a house full of kids.  The post mid August would have read different.

Here are some pictures from early in the summer.

I love the dirty faces and unkept hair.  Screams summer.

Joshua loves skate boards and does very well balancing on them. Not stitches yet.

I planted perennials going up my walkway.  They are huge compared to what they were when I took these pictures.  I will have to take more pictures to show how everything has grown this summer.

One afternoon we went to a work b-b-q at Anne Marie's work.  We spent a long time waiting in line for these face painting creations, they were pretty detailed.  I would have been happy with a shorter line and something more simple but I guess you can't rush a creative mind and the kids loved them.
