Bryce Canyon
This summer we had lots of plans but none as a complete family except for one weekend in Bryce Canyon. It was going to be a short trip, just one night, but I was excited since the kids had so much fun a few years ago when we went to Zion's National Park. However, John's grandfather passed away and he took Caroline and Grace with him to North Carolina the weekend we had planned to go to Bryce Canyon. So I ended up taking Hannah, Joshua, and Benjamin and we drove down with my parents. I had never been to Bryce and it was a great time of year to visit. The weather was still cool enough to hike without developing heat exhaustion.
These two are great little buddies.
My hiking buddies. This hike had me freaked out since there were so many places for unaware kids to run off the cliffs. John would have totally been freaking out. Luckily I had my parents and Anne Marie to help hold hands and Benjamin stayed tucked safely in the backpack.
Glad I got to spend some time with part of my family.

Did you wave to Kanab for me? Glad you had such a nice time!
speaking of falling off the edge of the cliff...we did that same hike a few years back and lucky for Cooper (and my heart), Brent saved him by the collar of his shirt when he wasn't paying attention and was backing up without noticing he was on the edge of the path. my mind raced with the what if's!!! glad you had the extra helpers :)
