Ode to the Christmas Card
I love Christmas cards. They are one of my favorite things about Christmas. I look forward to creating and sending the cards, and more than that I look forward to receiving Christmas cards. I love thinking about each person or family and remembering time we have spent together. By the first of December I am found stalking the mailbox waiting for the latest installments of cards. I love to see pictures of your families and hear about the triathlon you did or the new job or new baby in your home. I love to hear about all the accomplishments your kids have done during the year. Now I know not everyone agrees, sometimes Christmas cards get a bad wrap, but how can you not look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things from people with whom you have shared a past. The people that were part of your lives on a daily or weekly basis at one time, those whom you opened up your hearts to, borrowed eggs from when you needed one, shared holidays with, lived with and next to. For us there are aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from high school, EFY, Jerusalem, college, New York, Connecticut, Iowa, and Arizona. Whether you are one to send Christmas cards or not, I hope you enjoy hearing from us and seeing our family grow. You are loved and remembered this holiday season.
Love,
John and Kristin Howard

Loved your Christmas photo! You always get such awesome family pictures. I can hardly believe we are January bound! This year has flown. We're hoping to make it out in April for some spring skiing. Hopefully we can all get together.
