Caroline's Baptism

It is hard to believe that Caroline turned eight. I wish I could bottle up those special feelings on baptisms days and pull them out throughout the year.

In recent years it has become the trend to have all white dresses on your baptism.  When Hannah turned 8 I bought her a cream colored dress.  I prefer the off-white to the all-white.  The all white reminds me of a wedding dress.  Well Caroline went with a white dress with blue polka dots on it.  I love that she is confident in wearing what she likes.  I talked with her beforehand and explained that most likely the other girls getting baptized would have all white dresses.  I didn't want her to feel bad afterwards.  She was of course like "I don't care."

It was a wonderful day.  She was so peaceful and happy the entire day.  She isn't one to show or express affection, but the whole day there was just something special about her.  The weeks proceeding her baptism I prayed that she would feel the Spirit, and I know she did.

So the reason why these are kind of weird pictures, the ones that would usually be deleted is because they are the ones that were left to be deleted.  My computer crashed before I had backed up my most recent pictures.  We are waiting to see if they can be recovered, but for now this is the best I can come up.

Caroline we are so proud of you and love you to pieces.

LOVE the coordinating dresses. She looks darling! Wish we could have joined you. Sorry to hear about your computer. Ours did the same right after coming back from Bora Bora. Lucikly our friend was able to recover everything but not until after we went out and bought a new apple computer...I think we are sold on them from here on out! Good luck getting those photos back. So frustrating. We even have a back up drive but I hadn't backed up anything for a while which kind of defeats the purpose of having one...sigh!!!
