The Browns and Martinsens

Man we love these families and totally miss hanging out with them all the time.  They are so great to take the time to stop by and visit every time they come through.  Not to leave out the Masks or Denisons who also come to visit us, but giving a hint to whomever is coming and not calling.

I remember when the Browns showed up on our doorstep the first night we were in AZ.  I was a basketcase and not ready to meet the neighbors.  They came over with their cute 'little' kids and a jar of homemade salsa and chips to welcome us to the neighborhood.  They were our go-to family after that.  We would sit on our driveways for hours visiting while the kids played outside.  When I needed a babysitter during the day Andrea was the first one I called, until her baby got too old and I still kept having kids.  When I needed a break during the day I would either sneak over to her house for a visit or find an excuse to call her on the phone.  When a holiday came around we would get together to celebrate.  Brent taught John how to make a lawn grow in the desert and talked BYU sports with him whenever he wanted.

Look how much fun they are having, why don't you move by us.  I know, never going to happen.

This family is just - as - great as the one above. The first time I met Aubrey was at a play group at the park. I was new and unsure if this was the group I was looking for. She came up and introduced herself and made the connection that she was from Tooele. I decided I could look past that and still be friends (just kidding Howards).

We loved hanging out with this family and bantering Utah/BYU sports with them. They got us good one year when the painted the U from our BYU (so meticiously mowed into our lawn) red.

We hope they will move by us someday.  Here's to hoping. :)
