Benjamin's Blessing/ Cousin's Wedding

Clear back in April, Benjamin was blessed.  Really there isn't much to report.  I forgot to take pictures until the end of the day and by then I didn't care.  It was the first time since Hannah was blessed that family was there to participate, ok that isn't entirely true, Grace and Joshua both had extended family there that lived in Arizona.  After chruch everyone came over for dinner, including my cousins Peter and his cute family that were visiting from New York and my cousin Alsion and her family as well as her parents.  We had a full, loud house.  How I wish my cousins lived closer so we could get together more often, but it is nice to be back around familty.

That same weekend my cousin Christian got married.  We had such a great weekend participating in family events.  His father is my mom's older brother and there are a bunch of us that line up in age, so we did a lot with them growing up.  They now live all over the United States, New York, Pennsylania, Missouri, California, and Utah.  They were all in town for the wedding.  I so wish I would have gotten a picture of all of us together.  When my Grandfather died three years ago all of the cousins came to town.  I knew that was the last time we would all be together, the wedding brought many of us back together again, not everyone, but more than we will probably get again. :(  Again, I was without camera.  I love having a nice camera, but I miss having my little camera that I can keep in my purse.

Cousins are such a blessing, next to your immediate family they have known you longer and many times better than anyone else.  I have 24 cousins on my mom's side and 28 cousins on my dad's side.  My poor children have a total of 3 cousins (soon to be four, but that is it for awhile, hopefully that number will grow, we will keep our fingers crossed.)  We have been blessed however, to live near mine and John's cousins both in Utah and Arizona and so my kids have gotten to know some of their second cousins quite well.
