Tom Sawyer

Hannah has always loved plays.  Her favorite movies when she was just little were The Sound of Music and The Wizard of Oz.  We have taken her to many plays, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz, Joseph , Beauty and the Beast, and Annie. (I can't wait to take her to see Wicked.)

For years she has been asking me if she could try out for a play.  I kept putting her off, because I didn't want the committment of a play and all the pracitices that go along with a play.  Well, our new school has some awesome parents that put on a play every year.  The wife rewrites the play and then for three months they hold play practice twice a week.  They are amazing.  Everyone gets a part.  There were 4 Tom Sawyers (they each take a portion of the play) 3 Becky's and 16 School Boys.  It is so great that all of the kids get to participate and learn how to act.

Hannah loved it and had a great time.  She was Alfred Temple, one of the School Boys with talking lines and I must say she did a great job!  She was made for this kind of stuff.  She was loud and animated, one of the best!  The play was well done and humerous.  We were sad to see it end.  I am so grateful for these parents that volunteered some much  of their time.
