Sweet Ellie

This morning Grace received a call from her best friend in Arizona, Ellie.  They visited on the phone for a few minutes.  We were neighbors with Ellie in Arizona and the girls played every day together.  It was great to have a best friend that lived just a couple of doors away.  They were back and forth all day.  We totally miss her.

After they were done talking, I visited with Charisse.  She told me that yesterday as they were driving by our old house Ellie said, "Mom, I am worried about Grace.  I don't think she is coming back."  Charisse, "You are right Ellie, she is not coming back but remember you visited her in her new house."  Ellie, "I am still worried about her."  Charisse, "Would you like to call and talk to her tomorrow."  Ellie, "Yes. Mom when are we moving?"  Charisse, "We don't have plans now."  Ellie, "Well, I think we should start talking about it."  Charisse "Where would you like to move?"  Ellie, "Next door to Grace."

I am so grateful for good friends.  They are so important to the development of my children.  I pray every day that my kids will develop good friendships.  I now friendships take time, we miss our old friends and pray that we will make new friends like Ellie, that worry about us.  Thanks Ellie.

sniff sniff. still miss you. and BTW...17 tears is something that one of my older brothers came up with when he was just little. Mom said that Jim told her once that he loved her 17. He thought that was the biggest and the the most of anything. So it has stuck in our family. If you love someone 17 then you can't possibly love them anymore and if you cry 17 tears then you've cried enough to fill an ocean. See you this summer!

This is from Ellie: Hi Gracie. I miss you too. My mom and my dad are going to come up to your house in Utah and they are going to bring you a present from me. I wish I could have come to your birthday party. I miss you so so so so much and I knew that I lived right next door and we could play every day. I really, really, really, really, really miss you. Come back someday when you are done finishing there. I love you so much. I miss you so much. Bye Gracie. I'll see you next time you move by me, Gracie.
