Connecticut Friends... Some of the Best
Man I love these ladies. I hardly see them and rarely talk to them face to face, Facebook messages and blog comments are about all we have time for, but they are still some of my greatest friends. Of the group only one still lives in Connecticut. One lives in TX, one in China, one in Oregon and two of us are in Utah.
The wonderful thing about friends is you can pick up right where you left off. Hannah and Caroline were little when we lived there and these ladies saved me with play dates, book club, and babysitting. I am so glad that I was able to spend the day with them.
It first started out that Sarah, Vicky and I were going to have lunch at my house. Then I found out that Kristen and Julie were going to be in town. Sarah already had afternoon plans so Bethany, Vicky and I met up with Sarah at a playground and visited while the kids played. Then we headed up to Snowbird to meet up with Kristen and Julie. I hadn't planned on spending the day, but we were having such a great time, the weather was gorgeous and the kids were having a blast we stayed until after 5:00 then Hannah and Gwen who are only a couple of days apart decided that they hadn't had enough time together. Normally we don't do sleepovers, but I take exception when the friends are from out of town and we never get to see them.
Group #1.
Grop #1 with silly faces.
Three playmates from years ago.
Little sis version of above, they were babies so no playing just hanging.
Alpine Slide smile.
Ridem' cowgirl.
Josh LOVED thee climbing wall. He took it very seriously and was really good at it.
Hanging on for dear life. This girl would not let go and believe me she has strong legs to grip that bull with.
The day was perfect and the mountains were gorgeous. I love straggly hair, it is the sign of a good day. We have a lot of good days around here. :)
Some of group #2, didn't get them all in fact didn't get most of them. Had a great day!
