Here We Go Again

Well I guess it is time to break the news. We are going to have another baby. I am not a baby person. I never feel baby hungry and I start to enjoy them much more once they can sit up and move around. Plus they do grow on me. The girls all went out to Grandma Howards for a few days and I cried when they drove off. You would have thought I was sending them them off to college. However, even before Joshua was born I knew I would have one more. All of the kids are between 2 1/2 - 3 years apart, but I didn't want to wait that long again. I felt like I wanted to squeeze one more in since I am passing the magical 35 years in November. So on March 1 or hopefully about a week before we will welcome #5 to the Howard home.

I told the girls about a week ago and they were so excited. I was actually quite surprised at their excitement. I thought since we just had Joshua a little over a year ago they wouldn't be that excited, but all of them were jumping up and down with excitement. Grace carried around the ultrasound picture all day. It will be nice to have so many helpers. Even with Joshua it has been easier. He is a very easy going child, but it has been different. Caroline always gets him out of the car and carries him wherever we are going. Grace loves to play with him and Hannah is always on the watch out for trouble. She is much more aware of what he is doing and when he may be in danger. I think she thinks I am negligent.

I am at about 12 weeks now and I always start feeling better at 13, so I am counting on that. I haven't felt like doing much this summer. I have felt tired or nauseous all of the time, but I have stayed up past 9:30 lately and I am not nauseous all of the time so I can see light at the end of the tunnel, however, my clothes are feeling tight and uncomfortable, so I know the next stage of 'nothing fits' is right around the corner. It never ends.

I love the image of Gracie carrying around the ultrasound all day. And I love that Hannah thinks you're negligent... :) She is a very thoughtful and observant girl. :) And Caroline is such a good helper. Tell them all I miss them very much!

Yeah for the Howards - I am so sad that our conversation got cut off when I was there in Utah. We need to talk soon. So much exciting stuff for you guys that I need to hear about!
Love you and miss you,
Jen

don't think of it as the 'nothing fits' stage. think of it as the 'i'm not sick anymore' stage.
