Hannah's Birthday

OK, so I am late on this one. I haven't had a computer for the last couple of weeks, and so much has happened that I want to write about. However, this post is about Hannah. Hannah turned 9 and got to celebrate by moving. :( It was a sad day for all of us. Even writing it brings tears to my eyes. But many great friends helped make it a memorable and bearable day. I will get into that later, now I just want to write 9 things I love about Hannah. (I can't believe she is nine, where does the time go?)

John and I went to the hospital on the subway (don't worry I wasn't in labor, I was being induced) and came home in a Town Car car service that my work York Capital sent for. Hannah was born in New York City, which totally fits her personality.

1. Hannah is full of energy. Things are never boring when she is around.
2. She always wants to do what is right.
3. She likes to please everyone.
4. She is very confident talking to adults. She can have a full on conversation with someone she just met.
5. She makes friends very easily. Everyone is her friend and she loves to play.
6. She is very thoughtful. One year she gave me a CD of herself singing for my birthday.
7. She is creative and a good writer. Every year her teachers tell me what a great writer she is, Miss Allen even entered one of her papers in a district contest.
8. She has a great memory. She can remember spelling words easily and often tells me about things she learned at school. She also has memorized all 13 Articles of Faith.
9. She is a great helper with Joshua.

Hannah is a great girl and we love having her in our family. She also has some wonderful friends that helped make it a memorable birthday (I can't say great birthday because how can it be great when you have to move from a place you love.) I will write about The Farewell, in my next post. Happy Belated Birthday Hannah!

Kristin - so happy to see your note and then to connect over to your blog and see your growing family. They are all beautiful! I can't believe how grown up Hannah is! It saddens me how quickly time goes. Thanks for saying "hi" to the red rocks for me in Kanab. Kiley and I are headed the last week of July, but go through Vegas. Wouldn't it be fun to some day, some how, run in to each other and catch up. Keep in touch. - M

Okay--I think Hannah's hair grew 4 inches in the time you've been gone! She looks beautiful! Hey we are coming to Utah this week--could you please tell it to stop raining! Thanks!
