Today is Grace's Birthday. She is a total delight to have in our family. We call her the funny one, although she doesn't like it when we tell her she is funny, but she really is. A friend makes a list of things she likes about her child that coincide with the number of years they are, I like the idea so I am going to copy it. Although it is going to be hard to keep it to four things with Grace.
1. I love Grace's crooked smile. One side goes down lower than the other. When she was being born her shoulder got stuck and the doctor and nurse were literally bushing on my stomach trying to get her loose. The doctor said it probably caused some nerve damage. Whatever the reason I think it is cute.
2. I love that Grace is such a good sister. Joshua adores her. He bawls his head off if I leave him, but if she is there he is fine. She also loves her older sisters and will do anything they ask her to do, including give them her birthday money.
3. She is so funny. She says things that make us laugh all the time. I can't think of anything right now, but she keeps us laughing.
4. She has self-control. My mom included her birthday present with a Valentines package she sent two weeks ago. She carried that present around with her for TWO WHOLE WEEKS and never once tried to peek inside or ask to open it. Wow - I don't think I could do that, and I KNOW of one child in our family that would have drove me insane until I let her open the present. Way to go Grace!
