Hannah's Birthday

Hannah turned 10 back in May, but we waited until school was out to celebrate her friend birthday.  We did that last night with 20 girls, including two sisters.  We don't do birthday parties every year, so I believe in letting them invite whomever they want.  I also never want anyone to feel left out so I insist they invite anyone that lives nearby as well as anyone that has invited them to a party.  It was actually the easiest party we have done.  I guess they are getting to the age that they don't have to intertained every moment.  They really were sweet girls and there was no drama.  Yeah for no drama because we have a few drama queens that live at our house.

We did go through 6 pizza's, 5 bags of popcorn, 4 bottles of soda, 3 bags of candy and about 2 dozen cupcakes.  I didn't know how many would show up since only a handful had RSVPed, but we ended up getting  everyone invited except 2 girls and we also invited two more girls on the last day. 

On Hannah's actual birthday, which fell on a Sunday this year we invited family over for dinner.  She chose to Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner.  She got $ for i-tunes, a kabodle with lots of hair stuff, books, and clothes from Justice.

Hannah is such a great addition to our home.  Here are some of the things I love about Hannah and what she likes to do at age 10.

1. She is full of energy and loves people. 
2. She really likes no LOVES to chose the right and hates to disappoint anyone.
3. She has no fear of talking with adults, if fact she loves it.  She will take adult conversation anyday.
4. Her teachers love her. Again she doesn't like to disappoint.
5. She is a loyal friend.  One year later and she is even closer with her friends Jessica, Courtnay, and Brittnay then she was when we moved.  She talks to them, I dare say every day on the phone.  It is usually on speaker and we all hear the conversation going on.
6. She loves to read.  She can't put a book down once she starts.  She is also a very fast reader, we always have to tell her to slow down when she is reading the Book of Mormon with the family.

7. She loves to help her younger cousins, especially Ellie (the only girl cousin).  She is great to watch out for them and keep them entertained.

8.  She loves to play soccer.

9.  She is getting very good about practicing the piano and has really made a lot of improvment this past year.

10.  Finally, we love Hannah because she is just Hannah.  Sometimes she will do something and we will say 'that is just Hannah'.
